The MWSS leadership, led by Administrator Leonor Cleofas, and Deputy Administrator Jose Dorado, participated in the community consultation organized by the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) for the indigenous cultural communities (ICCs) of Karahume, Kalawakan at Kabayunan of San Jose del Monte, and Donya Remedios Trinidad covered by CADT within the 3 municipalities in Bulacan Province.
MWSS Administrator Cleofas, in her message to Inter-agency partners and ICCs, reaffirmed her commitment to the host communities, pledging to continue to push forward programs, initiatives, and activities that benefit them. She expressed gratitude to the IPs for their support of MWSS projects such as the AWTIP, and watershed reforestation that has served as a catalyst for development and growth. She expressed optimism that the Bulacan Community Center, a MWSS-donated building, would serve as a platform for the local government and other government partners to become more active participants in providing services to IPs and developing pathways to more sustainable communities.
