The true meaning of gift-giving is to give from the heart without any expectation of a return.  The said spirit was the motivation behind the traditional Christmas gift-giving program jointly made by the MWSS-CO with Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (MWSI) and Manila Water Company, Inc. (MWCI), through the Common Purpose Facility (CPF) on December 10, 11, and 23, 2019.

With the aim of sharing love and concern to the host communities of MWSS’ facilities at Angat, Umiray and Ipo and in recognition of the initiatives by the locals in the protection of the watershed areas where Metro Manila sources its supply, employees from MWSS-CO and the CPF went to Sitio Macua, Doña Remedios Trinidad and Norzagaray to hand their tokens of appreciation to about 700 members of Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) of Bulacan.

The spectacle was a joy to behold as the beneficiaries received gifts of grocery items and rice.

The Philippine Army and Bantay Gubat group provided assistance to make the activity truly successful.
