MWSS conducted a forum introducing the water infrastructure projects under its flagship Water Security Legacy (WSL) Program, on 10 June 2014 at the Oakwood Hotel in Ortigas, Pasig City. The forum intended to provide potential investors advance information on the salient features of the three big-ticket water infrastructure projects of MWSS (i.e., Bulacan Bulk Water Supply Project, New Centennial Water Source Project and Angat Water Transmission Improvement Project (AWTIP)) that have received approval from the NEDA Board chaired by the President and which are to undergo competitive bidding process.
The forum was well attended with about 175 participants from the private sector and some 75 representatives from government gracing the occasion. After the keynote speeches by PPP Executive Director Cosette V. Canilao and MWSS Administrator Gerardo A. I. Esquivel, DA Leonor C. Cleofas of MWSS gave an overview of the WSL and its components. Each project was then presented by a representative of the Transaction Advisor involved with the project followed by a Question and Answer session. The forum ended after an informal breakout session coinciding with lunch where interested participants chose which table they want to sit in to mingle and get more information on the projects. Tables were assigned for each project, where project members/ resource persons seated.
