While Metro Manila receives scattered rainfall showers, rain-fed Angat Dam, has been receiving very little that it has reached critical level. Monitoring activities to search for seedable clouds within the vicinity of Angat and La Mesa watershed continues for cloud seeding operations.

Meantime, MWSS employees joined the indigenous peoples, mostly the Dumagats residing in the Angat watershed when they held their ritual prayer and rain dance. MWSS also handed some token in appreciation for the Dumagats’ initiative and concern for the watershed. With much optimism, and the offered prayers and dance, the rains did come which somehow quenched the thirst for solutions to the diminishing water supply.

MWSS calls for water conservation so that the dam’s reserve would last longer. Truly, with much hard work and prayer in the God that we believe in, anything is possible.
